Aiming for level 2 in PvT

Level 2 summary

Build order
Upgrades faster

!! Scouting practice!
1) How many expansions, between 5mins, 3mins, 2mins, 1min
2) How big is his army, between 5mins, 3mins, 2mins, 1min : benchmark decision making - did you attack when the supplies were 1st a lot apart, how much apart were supplies when attacking?

Reacting
If there is no expansion @ 6mins -> make a momma core
If there is expansion right away -> expand right away
If there is gass early make momma & robo? This does not seem to work.. Is momma bad or good choise?
Early gass push might come already 7:48 --> mommacore @ 5:30? Keep vision to have long range!
If no expansion at 6mins, a huge pile of sentries would be nice, combined with the planetary nexus!

If gass before rax -> robo + stalkers or go destroy the proxy factory or cannons?

Multitasking
is fast switching:
* move scout
* make probe to move to build location
* move scout
* build
* move scout
in chores multitasking is to do required things at required time point
you are able to do this because you know the flow of the tasks you are performing
learning to multitask a certain process is to realize what are the critical things and how long does it take to perform one of them

Attacking
Aim so that: tech advantage, supply lead
Learning to recognize supply leads:
Attack before 9mins if fast exp or not at all!
Make proxy pylons close enough and warp units as fast as you can

Timing
More army supply than opponent
18 vs. 25 
42 vs. 45
Do not retreat when not required. How to improve on this?

Expanding right after core (4:00), eco will hit around 7-8mins (320-480)?
Terran expand delayed by gass?

Scouting
No early gass, no early many rax -> normally
Have a probe out building pylons to critical locations

If no expansion by 6mins, check out ninjas

How to know if comes around 8 or not? Expansion was put a bit after 6 minutes, so if attack comes with an army before that it is a one base attack basically? --> army supply 20-25 by 7:40 if expansion comes after 6mins?

If has 1 gass and exp is late might be bansheesh -> they arrive ~8:00
Cloack is done 8:50 --> robo should be slammed ideally 7:20


Microing
Try hallucinating ground units instead of phoenix? Maybe colo because it has a lot of health?
Keep mines out with ff
Follow where the mines are
!!Mines take damage from storm
Do not put observer right on top of mines if you are using zealots
Move stalkers away from workers

When they are dropping mines, move stalkers to where the medivac will arrive or to where the mines would like to burrow?

Macro
Put workers to 2nd gass
Expand as early as possible! When is how early safe?
Check that you are having enough gates when the 2 base eco kicks in.

Buildorder
if has factory units - contain while expanding and teching
contain:
* leave units so that they will snipe if anything comes
* block with ff
* put builder probes into their positions

Include robo into the bo? leave right as the observer is ready?
Count so that observer would be ready when arrives? 8:02 put when was successful and drop arrived 9:09 with 2 mines. Would have had more stalkers if no robo.

Get charge quite fast when dropping mines?


Scouting
[OK] if terran takes early gass skip zealot & make stalker as 1st
[OK] if terran takes very early gass make momma core @ 6min
[OK] if takes a bit later early gass -> go kill but watch if units midfield
[OK] 1 base -> do not attack, make mamma
2 early rax & gass means 1 base?
[OK] 2-3 base -> go kill

Microstuff
[OK] Halludisalarm mines before going up ramps
Target fire bunkers
Target fire marauders
Move units way from mines
Stop bunker repairs with ff
Snipe 'em medivacs and banshees <3

Macro

check the gates before engaging, if warp soon, do the warp and then go

4th game - proxy factory with widowers
if gass taken before rax -> suspect, maybe take out 2-3 stalkers before expanding?
around 3minutes scout to locate factory, scout maybe with the 1st zealot?


5th game - reapers, then drops, then hellions...
Probe was killed by reaper who was the first to come out -> should have armed mineruls (or tactical points?) with stalkers
Could have expanded. So, if no 2rax pressure but something else -> expand early enough.
Transition to twilight -> achives -> strom was nice, could have added forge for ups lol
Map visibility was superb almost, 2 pylons more to tactical spots :p
Use a prearmy scout when going up btw. Halluphoe would be cheapest?






6th game - Widowers
can come at 8:26 -> if not defended will hinder the power behind 5gate push
could be defended by having 4 stalkers but is it ok to leave them behind? on the other hand, similarly the opponent has money invested in the widowers. Especially gass?
They are taking pretty fast gass if this or reapers. Maybe then put more effort on your own eco and maybe more gates?

7th game - Widowers
again 8:30ish
be prepared untill 8:30 and then leave? or attack before this?
could momma be left to protect?

8th game - Widowers
put whole army behind least visible mineral line after 8 minutes
mommacore + massrecall?
use hallucination when going up to set the mines for killing their own

9th game - Widowers ^-^
stay base to catch the drop, then attack and KILL
disalarm mines with halluphoenixes
move your army away from widowers, destroy if unburrow

10th game - proxy reaper - proxy wm - bansheesh (master)
if takes gass before anything chrono 3 stalkers to mineral line
if a factory comes to your base it might be making mines
if widowmines and units, halluphoenixes
use 1 stalker to fend, one to search for proxy buildings?
sentries are nice against reapers, because you can squeeze them between ff
also it is very suspicious if terran scouts you before you scout him
place cannons on sides of nexus
planetary nexus is actually pretty good, can it be achieved before reapers? The early gass would have been spotted by 3:05 ---> make mothership core

11th game - this should have worked but the battle was lost
[OK] make proxy pylons early enough
warp more units
should the depots be destroyed before bunkers? maybe not
3rd bunker lasted because had repairers - ffs are needed for this
[OK] fast enough transitioning

Terran mine drops:
9:09, 2 mines
gass 2:26
gass 2:20 -> tank + mmm, very late 2nd
gass 2:41 -> mine, marine&medi ->  9:02 dropping 4 mines
gass 3:07 -> mine, marine&medi -> 9:03 2 mines
